How Do You Prepare Your Students to Participate in Labs?
I like doing those primarily because they listen to each other better than they listen to me. My classes are typically kind of small, so i can afford to do small groups of like three. I assign different not necessarily, not more like rolls, but like were then that assign it. So i a lot of very careful planning and a and it makes it difficult when people don't show up. When it's time to close class, i just bring them together and make sure nobody needs anything in the final thoughts or discussion. Closing is usually informal because they're usually in their own world,. Not much to close class around collaboration or discussion? Not really.
