Is Fish Oil Supplementation Really Beneficial?

Chris: For people who don't eat fish and shellfish, I think some supplementation is a good idea probably to the tune of 300 milligrams per day of DHA max. He says that high dose EPA is a pharmacological way that you can lower triglycerides. But he doesn't consider either of those supplements because he thinks what they're doing is kind of hijacking the biochemistry and using it more like a drug - which is fine. Chris: There are some pharmacological uses of fish oil containing a mix of EPA and DHA, which may possibly be more influenced by the EPA for certain psychiatric conditions such as depression.
