Justice Kagan included a reference to Aqua's Barbie girl in the opinion announcement, including reciting the lyrics. A Trump appointed district court judge in Tennessee struck down that states unprecedented laws banning drag shows in public or any place where children might see them. The Washington Post reports that 26 other similar laws have been introduced already this year, targeting drag performance and performers. That same analysis counted 400 anti transgender bills already introduced this year up from 150 bills last year.
