The Corpus Hermetica - Why Is It Important?

The Corpus Hermetica is important because Alchemists used it and Alchemists very much related to astrology for the next few centuries. What threw everybody off is that it was thought to be written by Hermist Trismegistus, considered a person who lived around the time of Moses. It's amazing how even though it was the first century AD, which is going back pretty fair bit, people just could not live with it. And so to me, Mercury, without Mercury, you're not really going to get the human story at all.
