Guns, religion and this sort of just ferocity are all inextricably linked. I'm not sure how racial hatred is supposed to tie into christianity. And so i think obama probably ably and artfully expressed something that he probably wished he wouldn't have. It probably cost him a few points in the poles and was used relentlessly by the right in the campaign. There's certainly merit in that. We see it across fly over country, red states.
