The First Step in Treating COPD
The first thing to talk about is we're going to touch on guidelines and protocols. We need to realise that these breathlessness episodes whether it's COPD or not can be significantly worsened by the anxiety that they induce. The patients are going to position themselves into a position of comfort then our job is to support the patient in that position and make them safe for transport if indeed that's their ultimate sort of disposition.
