Using Balloons for Astronomy
Some balloons are designed to last longer and not pop, ind actually regulate their altitude. The most exciting stuff is what we're starting to see in those blue word sides of things. Some of the coolest earliest experiments just looked at our own sun. Back in the late 19 fifties, when we really didn't have a space programme yet, we were using balloons to, for the first time, see granulation features on the surface of the sun.
