Eclay Fair Company Pattern Books
One of my favorite objects is on the third floor and it's these huge pattern books that were compiled by the Eclay Fair Company. They're hundreds of pages in each one. So really flipping through that you get a sense of the history of the embroidery and lace industry in the region. Most of the samples include prices, so most of them are in US dollars. You can see, for example, what this six inch tall border of Pwyndham and Ease inspired chemical lace would have crossed in 1818 or 1890s.
