Performance Management Discussions Are Really Important, Are Really Vital
Jeffrey Toobin: Performance management is really important. Many managers, I would hear you most managers don't do it. At least not very well. He says the idea that once you start having that conversation with someone, you've kind of already decided what's going to happen was a terrible mistake. So he has sympathy for those executives who bring in stack ranking with that in mind.Toobin: There's much better things to do. But I still don't think it's a good idea. You're managing them out. That's my thought.
