The Little Paradise of Long Island

Fishermen banded together and used their boats to float their houses across 50 kilometers of open sea. The newfoundland government decided that many of the small fishing villages that dotted its coast line were a drain on the system. A town was relocated, 90 % its residents had to agree to the move. But this was a heart breaking and traumatic experience that tore apart communities and still haunts people to this day.
