Hunad Vosser encouraged residents to lean out of their windows and paint the facade around them any color and design they wanted. He called this concept fenstagist or rite of window. The idea was, closer your second skin, your home is your third skin. And if we choose our own clothes, why shouldn't renters choose the colors for their outside walls, at least around the window?
