Are You Focusing Too Much on Profit Margining?

I'm wondering if many people, in your opinion, focus a little too much more than they should on profit margins. Any margin is a good business. Is there enough there to make it worth the time, effort, and energy you're putting into it? There's enough margin there. I worked for,. before you give me more detail, my last real job was 20 plus years ago at this point - about 20 years ago -- actually. We worked as a company selling hundreds of millions of dollars of product at less than one point of net margin. That was the business model. And it was a great living for me.
