A few days after Halloween, the FDA began requiring companies to add safety seals to their products. Meanwhile, investigators were looking for James Lewis and his wife in New York. The Chicago Tribune had begun receiving letters responding to their coverage of the Tylenol murders. In one, he wrote that he hadn't committed the murders.
