What Is Naturalism?
Australian philosopher David Armstrong defines naturalism as the doctrine that reality consists of nothing but a single, all embracing, spatiotemporal system. He says this allows him to say what he wants to say regarding what there is or what there could be perhaps. A distinction is typically drawn between naturalism and what's often now called physicalism. It's another kind of raw assertion: The physical is all there is.
