I think your point about discounting is absolutely fundamental. I've found so odd in my life as a minister, and I've always looked for external advice to help me navigate the territory. So there's a really strong evidence base to it. And then it's how far can I take that evidence base politically in my passion for acting on the interests of future generations? The fact that future generations are now a thing is actually really, really important in this debate. We just don't think about them at all.
