A newmont mining to day reported earnings and i thought it was a great example of what happens to companies. Newmont mining has been making a killing on terms of gold prices. Revenues were up five %. Why did the stock get monkey hammered to day? Because all the costs, and this is the same thing with energy stocks. When the cost of oil goes up, when the cost of gold goes up, all the input costs into ing or drilling or extracting also goes up. And that impaired the earnings for these companies. So we saw that in the earnings report to day up sol.
