The Master in Advocacy
I teach advocacy to pupils and then new practitioners. When we watched the prerogation case, and even now, when you have to do a review of students and they do their advocacy, feedback, we demonstrate so on. And we all call you the master. Because you were so compelled. The master was so no coward. No coward was known as the master. I must say, it is easier to do a good job if the court is with you than if the Court is hostile. So I did have that considerable advantage. Nobody at all can stand up and argue a case unless they've put in a lot of work. Cicero said an advocate cannot be eloquent upon a subject
