The Confederate Debt Clause of the 14th Amendment, Section 4

Section 4 of the 14th Amendment deals with some of the financial consequences of the Civil War. Among other things, it says that the Confederate debt will not be repaid. The purpose of Section 4 is to guarantee that these financial aspects are in the Constitution and cannot be changed by southern states or by northern ones either.
