There are about 3,600 Australians who have cystic fibrosis and live with it every day. It's a genetic illness that is not something you can catch or develop later in life. The disease also affects the pancreas causing pancreatic insufficiency which means when I eat food with protein or fat my body doesn't produce enough digestive enzymes to absorb nutrition. At 9 he was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver - what an alcoholic would get after 20 years of abusing their liver with alcohol. He now has diabetes because of his Pancreatic Insufficiency condition.
In 2020, Bradley found himself questioning death. He was 24 and lying in hospital bed with bleeding lungs caused by his condition, cystic fibrosis. Three years later, he has run multiple marathons, left behind his successful career as a realtor and is now running his podcast 'A Lot To Talk About', sharing his story.
