Matt Walker: Does the learning capacity of the human brain decline with continued time awake across the day? And if so, can sleep and specifically a nap reverse the saturation effect and therefore restore learning ability? Those who napped showed a 20% learning advantage relative to those who remained awake. We're then going to discuss perhaps an even more remarkable set of scientific findings, which is that we need sleep after learning to consolidate and cement those freshly minted, those newborn memories within our brains.
