In the 1940s and 50s, the United States deployed this tool of redlining in communities. The same places that African Americans were forced to live were the exact same places where you had facilities that were forced to locate. And then we're adding to that, as climate change has increased extreme weather events, teeth. This also impacts how fast and where air pollution moves.
