Is the Restraint Coalition a Realist?
Realism is very complicated, an internally diverse thing. It has this descriptive side where it describes the way it thinks international politics work and then a prescriptive side. And i think when some people think of the restraint coalition broadly as being realist, they're thinking of one, one thing having to do with the prescriptive ide which is the idea that united states can't really afford to concern itself much with the internal affairs of nations. But fundamentally, we have a world consisting of sovereign states. That's the way it works.
