The Importance of History in Prognostication
The history, as you say, is a core part of working out what prognosis may be. And I don't just mean the history of the presenting brain injury, but also critically any patient comorbidities that might accompany that or any confounders. Pete: It would be a tragedy to give up on people prematurely, not give them a chance of life. The historical reasons for being concerned that in admission to intensive care is not the right care are justified overall outcomes in those patients remain just there.
