There are two ways you can go about a recall: manufacturing company notices something wrong that they've seen in it, or an investigation by the nh t s a. This one is with make ford who noticed this and didn't even go to the n h t s a to get investigated. They just issued the recall because things were happening a but like Elik said, i think the headline issue right now is maybe that's just because we're attack people and we see headlines more than others.
