In both cases, you should really have a goal. And yet sort of understand why are you building this product? What problem is it solving? Why and what will success look like? Ah, i'd say that some of the biggest difference though for me is that everything you do as a product manager, you get done through other people. A, and at the end of the day, ah, you're not the person who's sitting there typing the code.
