There isn't hydrogen just laying around. But it's everywhere in water, but pure hydrogen is just so you have to get the hydrogen. And guess how much energy it takes to separate the H2 from the O more than it does to put a rocket? It's not quite an equal thing, but that's how you get your hydrogen fuel. That's a totally sucks.
