Is There a Reduction in the Use of Swan Gens Catheters?

In my training days they were really popular, I really liked using them for establishing the need for fluid resuscitation and monitoring the degree of that resuscitation. There has been a gradual reduction in the use of these Swan Gens catheters over time as well. Some individuals thought it was hard to justify putting them in. The other thing that happened was that as people put in less and less catheters, people became less comfortable with putting the catheters in.
