Adam smith's first book came out in 17 59, which is exactly a century before darwin. And he says it's not what priests tell us, it's what we figure out by trial and error ourselves in society. In some societies, you know, avenging the death of your friend by killing the murderer is a moral, ethical thing to do. Others it's not. It's not ordained by the teache that the priests then teach us what we've already decided among ourselves,. So interesting, very, very interesting.
