Russian Local Assets - What's Driving That?
We've seen dramatic reprising and russian local assets and currencies. The rouble has depreciated by something like forty to 50%. Interest rates have gone up very sharply. There are essentially defacto capital controls in place. But i think that given the really historic, far eaching and unprecedented sanctions that we are seeing against russia at this point, i think that that premium is justified.
