Acid Rain and the Global Warming Debate
The toll on animal life was already very visible and very clear. Acid rain does not fall where pollution is produced. The chemicals that create acid rain are mostly produced by metal smelting. Just driving cars produces a bunch of nitrogen oxide which causes acid rain. And coal-fired power plants pump a lot of sulfur into the world.
