There will be millions of ucranians who are dispossessed and displaced. We must show our solidarity with the ucranian people by welcoming as many of them as possible into the uk. I don't understand why the west reaction to every crisis is to sort of decide that we must punish ourselves with further uncontrolled mass migration. That is going to disrupt our countries even more than they already are. Part of the problem we have is we're disunited because of the constant churn in our societies, where we don't really have an identity that we can all say, we're all british.
