What Is Matthew Doing Differently With His Genealogy Than Luke?

Luke also includes a genealogy, but it differs from Matthew's in a number of ways. Luke carries it all the way back to Adam and I think that for Luke, that is also theologically significant. It doesn't appear quite as prominent in Luke after we've already had the birth stories about Jesus in Luke 1 and 2. So, I'm not sure. Were you thinking something else?
