Government Invites Striking Unions in for More Talks
New legislation would guarantee minimum levels of service in the event of a strike. Would apply to fire service, ambulance, rail services, education and nuclear decommissioning. Government hopes we'll get first glimpse of it next week; debate will take place after that. But Labour say they don't like the look of it,. They would probably repeal it if they win the election. It's clear blue water between two main Westminster political parties.
