The Cost of Remote Monitoring
The average cost of a hospital stay is about $2,000 a day per patient in the US. Dr John Marshall: "I think there's an opportunity to use things like wearables to monitor how patients are doing but also to modify their behaviors" If health benefits accrue over a timeframe that the insurer can actually see benefits from, we're much more likely to see that equipment covered by insurance premiums.
