What Does It Really Mean That We Worship a God and Not a Man?
Hosea 11:11 says God will not execute the fierceness of mine anger. In other words, men have revenge. Hosea's perspective is God's going to wipe you out like Sodom and Gomorrah. How can I let my covenant child be destroyed? He doesn't get resentful. If I push him away and then invite him back in and then push him away, he doesn't say, Oh, we've done this before. And that's what he doesn't do.
