The Dangers of Offline Data
offline data of the sort that I'm usually looking at is often viewed by engineers as a secondary task. Realistically, if you want to have good data sources, the people generating the data need to own the data sources. The danger is just like any time you create a bifurcated engineering system where software engineers are not required to write tests.
