The destruction of babylon is meant to foreshadow the destruction of the wicked at the end of the world. In some ways, i think what its suggesting is that there are some things we just shouldn't have to see. So turn off the sun, turn off the dim down the moon. This darkness, let's keep it there, rather than bringin it out into the light. I mean, th wicked don't want to be seen. A they remain in the dark. Though there are times they lift up their heads in their wickedness, once their aberration has found normalization. As elder maxwell used to say, but that's but god's not going to help them
