Is Set Theory a Good Prerequisite to Computer Science?

Has maths been important to you as a developer, or can you largely do without it? That is definitely a mixed bag. It really depends on what it is you're working on. In general, I would say maths doesn't overly matter. For example, when I'm working on my React applications, I have not once used my calculus or linear algebra knowledge,. But it's also nice as a student to kind of see how we went from Turing machines all the way to modern computer architectures.
