Basil Zaharoff - The Man Who Wants to Sell Aircraft

Basil Zaharoff was an English businessman who made his money selling planes. He used a small chunk of his fortune to endow a chair of aviation at the Sorbonne. This presumably would give him a highly placed flunky when the French government decided to start buying planes. Unfortunately for Basil, this move attracted controversy and he had to quiet those intentions by like buying convalescent home for old French soldiers and donates toFrench causes.
