i think the devs are extremely important to do good work but i do agree with you we should be as paranoid as possible because the stakes are really high. What they can do is lead the market astray a lot of uh... companies and call it economic nodes like just sort of follow the bitcoin core dev consensus which is good and bad. The more momentum Bitcoin gains where you know the state bitcoin court, the more there's social issues that can happen so again it can't really ruin bitcoin anyway it can but it can temporarily make it weaker and less valuable for people who use it.
