Performing movement forming exercise is going to burn a greater than calories than you would do a complete rest. The longer that duration is fundamentally our body almost goes into it's we can think of it as like a shutdown. A total daily energy expenditure fundamentally can still remain in net zero even following an hour or two hour run. So the there's a complete pendulum swing in what we should be thinking about from an exercise perspective if we're trying solely to expend calories by exercise.
