Rousseau and Hobbes have flattened out. They're not just taken as parables anymore, they're taken as like literal guesses at what's happened. I think that's on us for being bad readers, because we take everything as a claim, position and argument rather than let's sit back and consider human nature. It's the same thing with reading marks, right? Like he makes a lot of claims about, you know, he hedges what he's doing in capital quite a bit. But to me, it's this is just like the the walruses in in South Park pulling out a bunch of stereotypes and sticking them into a narrative. He's trolling though so far
