The DeSantis Unit and the State Prosecutor

The unit is under the Department of State which administers the elections, but it is being enforced by the state-wide prosecutor. Last year when it was first started, the legislature gave the unit $1.1 million to get started to employ, I believe it was 27 people. The Governor this year asked for a doubling of that amount. He's now up to $1.4 million. Unclear how many people they will hire or what their jobs will be because it hasn't even been in operation for a year.
