The past few months, police raids have been increasingly violent and destructive from the demolition of the gazebo in Wollani People's Park to the flattening of community gardens. The use of inflated charges like domestic terrorism not only make life for the people charged a living hell, it also lays the narrative groundwork to justify extreme physical escalations of force against protesters. In the aftermath of this raid, a spokesperson for the Atlanta Solidarity Fund warned that steadily increasing police repression would lead to protesters being killed. "I think anytime you introduce police in into a situation you have the possibility of somebody dying," says one protester.
