The Housing Sustainability Question With the Afghan Scheme
Housing sustainability is a big question mark over the Afghan resettlement scheme. Local authorities they have to top up housing costs to move people and this feeds of course into the broader integration question. The UK did not have then and does not have now a UK wide strategy for integration. It doesn't have nationwide strategy for English language learning. These wider structural issues that will be very important to be addressed for the successful functioning of the Afghan scheme.
