The Importance of Understanding People

I was really interested in, you know, what is it that allows people to be effective in adverse environments and under adverse conditions. So I started talking to, I started expanding my search for people to interview to people like humanitarian aid workers,. People who have to be agile regardless of whether the environment around them is opposing them or maybe people shooting at them. And this is where the liminal thinking emerged: What are some common themes about what allow people to beeffective? It became fascinating. When the book came out, it was not a book really only for business people. It's really became a book for anyone who wanted to create change in any area of their life.
