Amet family holidays to scotland were a respite. And the setting for lem's second dish, mussels. My grandfather, duncan monroe, had a cottage in a place called lochinvar. i can remember it smelt of sea salt, and the sea was such a powerful presence. We would go down to the rocks of the local locks and we would gather mussels. Since then, ihave had a love of mussels these days.
