Is There a Way to End Automated Recommendations?

I feel like social media originally was designed or its intention was to connect, right? To connect people. But instead, I think it's kind of put us in silos and it's given us this existential like, do I exist? You know, even selfies, I feel like are just a constant question of do I exists? I exist, right? Right. The worst that actual offline life is the more people spend on the internet, right? And we just have really done very little in terms of public policy to make actual life better for people, right? We've done so little to improve actual life.
