The Importance of Detecting Gravitational Waves in the History of the Universe
Is it fair to think of this as the detection of these gravitational waves tells us that there are indeed at least one or maybe many of these sorts of events and violent events that have occurred in the history of the universe? Yeah, and I will say too, the scientists, they're very careful at this stage of the game to say they don't have a detection. They're making a claim. They have very compelling evidence that this gravitational wave background is real.
