I've often wondered how it's possible that hollywood has never tried to tell the story of johannes brahms and clara schumann. The image of a man chasing after a woman 14 years older than him is something that would still surprise filmgoers. Or perhaps it's just a story that has been lost to history, an amazing and heart rending story only still known by lovers of classical music.
